The King's Last Hurrah

Having been born well after Elvis had passed on, I understood him and who he was only through cultural cliches and static images. Having dabbled since my birth in a sincere interest in Elvis, I found this clip refreshing. It has given a new life to my understanding of Elvis. For a person that has by and large been reduced to a name, a voice, and a jumpsuit by those who aren't "Elvis people", Elvis was so much more and I think his rendition of "Unchained Melody", including his exit, shows just this.
Notice the fleshy microphone stand.

This is great! And pretty painful to watch towards the end. "AHHH, yep!"

The moment goes from completely sincere and touching to ridiculous and overblown spectacle in about three seconds.

Sweaty emoting always makes me a little nervous.
