It's worth more than all our lives combined.
A good pair of boots and a nice knife are worth more than Da Vinci and Pushkin combined
I think it's because she has no eyebrows.
When I was younger, my mother had a Mona Lisa magnet on our fridge. She told me that no matter where you stood, the Mona Lisa would always be looking at you. I convinced myself that this was true and believed this to be the very reason that everyone loved the painting.
Upon recent inspection, it looks as though her eyes are both averted to the right (her left) and maybe not following me around after all. Thus, my initial conviction is disproved.
M. Luz - I guess- but I feel like saying that is comparable to a ridiculous story ending with '...and then I woke up & realized it was all a dream.'

I remember hearing that about her eyes too! I don't think it is true either. It's sorta like the man on the moon; if you strain to see it, you'll see it, but if you casually and unexpectingly look, you won't see it.
